Unfortunately, Ahrefs does not provide users with any free trial. Previously, it used to provide a 7-day free trial for its users. But they no longer provide free trials. 

While this can be disheartening, we would like to give you the good news!

Ahrefs still provides free access to its  Webmaster tools. It allows you to use the site explorer and site audit features for your website for free. However, you get limited access to these.

Steps To Claim Ahrefs Webmaster Tools For Free

Now that you are aware of the free Webmaster tools available on Ahrefs, you might be eager to try them out. 

You can follow the step-by-step guide below to start with Ahrefs Webmaster tools. 

Step #1: Visit the official website of Ahrefs with the help of the link provided. 

Step #2: Click on ‘Sign up for Ahrefs’ if you wish to buy the Ahrefs subscription plan. If not, then click on ‘Ahrefs Webmaster Tools.’ 

Step #3:You will be redirected to the Ahrefs webmaster tools page. Click on the ‘Sign up’ button. 

Step #4: You can use your Google, Facebook account or email to create an Ahrefs account.

Step #5: Enter your email, accept the terms and conditions, then click on Sign up for free. 

Step #6: You will be redirected to the page where you will be instructed to check your email and that the link will be sent to activate your account. 

Step #7: Open your email, and then open the Ahrefs mail. Click on confirm email. 

Step #8: You will be then directed to an activation page. Enter your name, password, and where you learned about the Ahrefs. Once you have entered all the details, click on continue. 

Step #9: You will be asked to add your project on the next page. You can either import it or add it manually.

Step #10: You will be directed to create your first project. Enter the details of your project and then click on Continue. 

Step #11: After that, you will be directed to the next page, where you will have to verify that you are the owner of the website. 

There are four methods that you can choose from: Google Search Console, DNS record, HTML tag, and HTML.file.

Once you have verified the ownership, you can enjoy the free services for site audit and site explorer features.
